Day 5

Pretty and Pink... I do not normally like PINK with livers, but don't they look so sweet!

Had a stressful night last night. I could not seem to get the whelping box to stay the right temperature, although the thermometer read 85, and I still have sheet covering most of it,  I could feel either the slight coolness or the heat. What the heck? Pups were a bit fussy on and off... not sure if it was that, from having their dew claws done that day, or they just wanted more milk. I am used to end of Winter/Spring litters so this Summer weather is driving me batty. The central A/C is definitely on... have to keep pups a certain temperature... when the A/C is blowing you sure can tell it, when not, it can get a bit warm. I have to keep adjusting the vent in my room. Do not want a draft! So frustrating! Pups are all settled again this morning thank goodness...

Yea... THEY are all NAPPING while I have to do puppy laundry and all my other chores, as well as WORK! Yes, I am jealous. Oh well... life of a dog... :)

10:55 a.m. Figgy's Temperature was 100.5. She is eating well, going out to potty and being careful to not step on her babies when she comes back inside. Good girl Fig!
