They are wanting to go outside to potty! What GOOD babies... the only thing is that they want to go out ALOT! I don't want to let them out at night in the dark since I do live rural, and although my property is all fenced in for the dogs... that does not mean there won't be a hawk or owl, or some sort of predator. So at night they must use their papers which they hate to do. They seem to be holding their poo all night long, which is great! And they run outside to go. Peeing... well, there is ALOT of that going on, as to be expected! I did carry one girl outside last night and she promptly pooped and then wanted picked back up and taken back inside. Good Liver Girl 4! I guess I can begin to carry them out one at a time at night, but by the time I did that, the others would have already gone. They try to be good but can't hold it that long.
This morning they were crying and I propped open the front door and opened their pen and out they ran! It was SO CUTE. They did their business and then terrorized the front yard... "give those sticks bugs and plants hell puppies"... LOL. Of course I was saying "ACK"... this and "AC"K that...and taking things out of their mouths. Must be a goat in the gene pool (just joking!).
This morning they decided that the campfire pit was exciting with the puppy papers in there ready to burn. Let's grab them and run all over the front yard... yea! Fun game! And even more fun to make Momma Julia walk all over pickup up little pieces of newspaper. LOL
It is a beautiful cool morning and they got to stay out extra long. Merica, Taffy and Figgy kind of run off and do their own thing. And if I call them back in they walk through the puppies guardedly, not wanting to get nipped by puppy teeth. This is the age where the older dogs need to gently teach them some manners. So far they have not had to do so, but it is important that they learn respect and bite inhibition and how to interact.
Today I am moving them out of the Dining Room and back to the Dog Room, I think. The plastic sheeting needs changing. and the Linoleum piece is getting a bit stinky, despite continuous wiping down with clorox water. The linoleum is outside by the hose ready to be deep cleaned... and I will put down new plastic. Not sure I am ready for them in the dog room. I kind of like having them close, they are just at the bottom of the stairs from my bedroom... I am a sentimental momma.
Hopefully we will get some puppy visitors today and tomorrow! Anyone want to come out, just give me a call!
