Pups are looking really good at 2.5 weeks of age. A litter of natural hard bodies, or I am just used to them being really chubby at this age? Two of them are becoming regular escape artists (LG2 & BG3) and often a third (BG1). The two smaller ones at this age (Liver Boy and LG4) can get out, but mind their Momma Figgy better. LOL. Figgy actually gives them a soft growl noise if they try to get out of the box! I have never in almost 20 years had a momma dog tell them "NO" you stay here in the whelping box/pool! LOL Obviously 2 of the girls have a mind of their own most of the time.
I need to decide if I should go ahead and move them downstairs to the Dining Room or not. I am not quite ready to move them from my cozy room setup, but they want out of the whelping pool to explore and potty. I will have to get some thick plastic to put down on the floor. Hopefully I can hold out until this weekend. :)
All are still hearing today! I do not see any full blue eyes. Specks of blue or parti-eyes can be hard to catch this young, so I will just keep on checking and keep on updating you.
